Yes, the dash cam requires a connection to the KAWA AUTO APP for initial setup. After the dash cam starts recording normally, you can choose to turn off the Wi-Fi by pressing the button on the dash cam and exit the app.

What should I do if the app cannot connect to the dash cam?

Please check if Wi-Fi is enabled, try restarting both the dash cam and your phone, or reinstall the app.

What should I do if I forget the dash cam's Wi-Fi password?

Press the button on the dash cam five times to reset the device. The password will be restored to the default one.

What should I do if the Wi-Fi connection is unstable?

Try connecting in an environment with minimal interference, or reset the device to factory settings and try again.

Does the dash cam start recording automatically?

Yes, after the initial setup and authorization via the app, the dash cam will automatically start recording when it detects power. (If the device is reset, you will need to reconnect and authorize it again.)

Where can I view the recorded videos?

You can view the videos in the "Ablum" section of the preview page in the app. Videos can also be downloaded to your phone’s local gallery.

What should I do if the recorded video is blurry?

Clean the lens, check the resolution settings, and make sure the lens is not blocked or reflecting light.

Why does the dash cam automatically shut off after parking?

Parking means the engine is off, and without power supply, the device will automatically turn off. If you need the dash cam to continue working after parking, we recommend purchasing and installing a parking monitor cable.

Can the dash cam be powered through a USB port?

Yes, but you need to ensure that the USB port provides 5V/1.5A power output.

How do I enable parking monitor?

You need to use an additional hardwiring kit connected to the car's fuse box. After proper installation, you can enable the parking monitor function in the app.

Does the parking monitor video automatically overwrite?

Yes, parking monitor videos are typically saved in the "Parking Monitor Videos" folder. Once the storage is full, older videos will be overwritten.

Does the device support voice control?

Yes, you can use voice commands to start recording, take pictures, and perform other functions. It supports six languages, and other languages can use voice commands in English.

What should I do if the device is frozen?

Press the button on the device five times to reset the machine.

How do I change the recording resolution?

Go to the app's "Settings" > "Advanced Settings" > "Storage Resolution" to adjust the resolution options.
