Does the dash cam need to be connected to a phone to work?

Yes, the dash cam requires a connection to the KAWA AUTO APP for initial setup. After the dash cam starts recording normally, you can choose to turn off the Wi-Fi by pressing the button on the dash cam and exit the app.

What should I do if the app cannot connect to the dash cam?

Please check if Wi-Fi is enabled, try restarting both the dash cam and your phone, or reinstall the app.

What should I do if I forget the dash cam's Wi-Fi password?

Press the button on the dash cam five times to reset the device. The password will be restored to the default one.

What should I do if the app shows "Device connected but cannot access"?

It may be due to a network conflict or missing permissions. Please grant the necessary permissions to the KAWA AUTO app.

What should I do if the Wi-Fi connection is unstable?

Try connecting in an environment with minimal interference, or reset the device to factory settings and try again.

Does the dash cam record in a loop?

Yes, the dash cam will automatically overwrite the oldest files to ensure continuous recording.

Where can I view the recorded videos?

You can view the videos in the "Ablum" section of the preview page in the app. Videos can also be downloaded to your phone’s local gallery.

What capacity SD card does the dash cam support?

It typically supports 16GB–256GB Class 10 or higher Micro SD cards.

Can the dash cam work without being connected to a power source?

No, the dash cam does not have a built-in battery and requires power to operate.

Why does the device automatically shut down in high temperatures?

The dash cam has an overheating protection feature. If the temperature gets too high, the device will automatically shut down to prevent damage. The operating temperature range of the dash cam is -20°C to 70°C. Please note that the temperature inside the car, especially under direct sunlight, may exceed 70°C. It's recommended to park the car in the shade.

Why isn't the parking monitor working?

It may be due to incorrect hardwiring installation or insufficient power supply. Check the wiring connections or power status.

Does the device support voice control?

Yes, you can use voice commands to start recording, take pictures, and perform other functions. It supports six languages, and other languages can use voice commands in English.

Can the device record audio?

Yes, you can enable or disable the audio recording function in the app settings.

Why isn't the device recording?

Please ensure that the SD card is properly inserted and has enough storage space.

Why can't I format the SD card?

Please use the recommended format (FAT32) or try replacing the SD card. The supported SD card capacity is 16-256GB.
